What it is: Creative Site Assessment is an online site assessment tool that independently rates potential business development sites for economic developers. Use our high-level evaluation and your on-the-ground expertise to decide if the site is a priority.
How it works: Answer approximately 30 questions about utilities, transportation, and site characteristics. Answers are scored using the matrix evaluation system we use for on-site assessments and site selection analysis for corporate clients. See the video below for a more in-depth explanation.
What is your scoring matrix:The formula is as closely guarded as my grandma’s biscuit recipe.
What does a score mean: The higher the score, the greater the development potential. Scores should be measured against other site scores in your community.
Is this a detailed assessment: No, a detailed assessment can only be done with an on-site inspection and due diligence. Creative Site Assessment is the first step to determine whether a site warrants further review and investment.
Why should I use it: The assessment shows investors, stakeholders, elected officials, property owners, and others your best opportunities for development at a high-level. It also guides policy decisions for investment. Don't waste resources on a site someone thinks is good - independently assess it to see if it really is good.
What information will I need: You will answer questions about infrastructure capacity and service, transportation access, and site characteristics such as flood plain and due diligence. A list of information needed can be accessed from your account dashboard.
What is the deliverable: A one page report containing the site score, category scores, site image and description you upload, and a summary of the program. Click below for a sample report.

- Annual subscription for up to 6 sites in one county is $999.
- Annual subscription for an unlimited number of sites in one county is $1,499.
